Tallahassee, FL - Kindergarten teacher Katherine Kenton is WCTV's Teacher of the Month for November.

One of our station representatives, along with school and district administrators surprised Kenton in her classroom at Gilchrist Elementary Friday morning.

The educator of 17 years is described as having a positive attitude and energizing personality.

Kenton says it's all because of her students. She says, "I love designing lessons. I love watching them learn new things and seeing them learn to read and write and just be excited about learning. That's why I do it."

Kenton gets a "WCTV Teacher of the Month" trophy, along with various gift cards.
