The FSU ROTC Ranger Challenge Team had it's annual Ranger Challenge Competition at Camp Blanding Florida this weekend which lasted two days with the first day consisting of a land navigation course, map reading exam and rifle marksmanship shoot.

The second day was a 13.4 mile round robin course that incorporated 5 events that tested the team members technical and tactical skills, and a Commaders Challenge event. The competition consisted of 38 teams from Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, Louisana, Alabama and Puerto Rico.

FSU was the two time defending champions, but ended the competition with the runner up trophy losing to Georgia Southern by one point. FSU ROTC Ranger Challenge Team 2 won the marksmanship event of the competition.

This was new change in which the event was conducted in the previous years which made the competition more physically and mentally challenging.

Both FSU teams represented FSU very well during the competition.
