The Tallahassee Police Athletic League is announcing open registration from April 12 –May 12 for it 2013 Summer Youth Basketball Program. The registration forms can be downloaded from the new Tallahassee Police Athletic League Website at http://tallahasseepal.tigersix.net/ or you can pick up a copy of the application at the Tallahassee Police Department (234 E. Seventh Avenue). The registration fee is $25.00, late fee- after May 12 is $35.00 per player.
The Youth Summer Basketball League is for boys between the ages of 10-15 and the girls between the ages of 10-12. The program provides youth the opportunity to grow under the guidance of dedicated adults, assisting them in developing self-esteem and providing skills to help them stay in school. The program’s ultimate goal is to instill youth with respect and understanding for the role of law enforcement.
All games will be played at Jack McLean Community Center (700 Paul Russell Road) every Monday and Wednesday evening from 6p.m.-9p.m. The season will begin June 3rd – July 31st.
