Local Restaurant Holds Benefit for Second Harvest of the Big Bend

Posted: Mon 3:40 PM, Nov 12, 2012

Tallahassee, FL - November 12, 2012 - Last year, the Sage restaurant in Tallahassee was destroyed by arson and a benefit was held to help raise money for employees out of a job.

Now Sage has been rebuilt and renovated and employees want to give back to those that helped them. They held a benefit Sunday to raise money for the Second Harvest of the Big Bend. Their goal was to thank and bring attention to businesses that helped them during a difficult time. The benefit included music, food, face painting and a raffle.

Said Executive Chef, Terry White: "[It's] a good feeling for us to be able to do something similar to give back after so many people came together to help us out in a time of need."
