COCA Presents: "7 at City Hall". This unique exhibition celebrates the creativity and craftsmanship of seven of Tallahassee’s most talented artists: Charles Badland, Barbara Balzer, Francoise C. Baudoin d'Ajoux, Mark Dickson, Bart Frost, Susan Peacock and Linda Van Beck. Artworks on display encompass a wide range of styles, textures, techniques and mediums including metal and ceramic sculptures, acrylic and oil paintings and photography. Individual pieces feature vibrant colors and abstract shapes, allegorical animals, representational portraits and dreamy landscapes.
The exhibition begins on September 26th and continues through November 19, 2012
Meet the artists in the City Hall Art Gallery during a public reception on Friday evening, October 5th from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm, and enjoy light refreshments. There is no charge for the reception or the exhibition.
City Hall Gallery is located on the second floor of City Hall, 300 South Adams Street and is open Monday through Friday 8:00 am – 5:30 pm.
This exhibit is one of over a dozen exhibitions curated annually by the Council on Culture & Arts. The exhibit is part of the City of Tallahassee’s Art in Public Places program.
