That black and white cow usually holds a sign that says eat more chicken.

These days he's also encouraging folks to give more gifts.

A Tallahassee Chick-fil-A is collecting shoe boxes filled with everything from toothbrushes to toys.

Customers who fill them up and bring them in can get a free chicken sandwich.

"It's been really fun to see the families come, the parents bring the children and the kids are really eager to be able to help out children in other places that are less fortunate," said marketing director Carol Richardson.

Folks can drop the shoe boxes off at the Chick-fil-A on North Monroe Street through Thursday.

They'll be donated to Operation Christmas Child which sends them to needy children in countries all over the world.
