Soccer Academy Headed for the Rose City

TU Soccer and South Georgia United is pleased to announce the creation of a Thomasville/Thomas County Soccer Academy for the Fall of 2012 at Thomas University.

The goal of the academy program is to develop competitive youth soccer players by providing a quality learning environment. This program will focus on participation and development in a fun and rewarding environment while emphasizing proper skills acquisitions and training techniques. TU Soccer will provide a qualified and international staff of trainers and coaches with the goal of providing players an opportunity beyond recreational play into select travel soccer.

"We feel as if we are giving the local community something they desire", said TU Director of Soccer Operations and Men's Soccer Coach Ricky Zambrano. "Our local youth soccer community have always requested access to our players and coaches and now they will have this opportunity on a weekly basis. This is a great opportunity for both the local youth soccer community and TU Soccer".

Player assessments will be held for kids ages 7-11 at Thomas University on Thursday May 31st from 6PM-8PM. For more information please contact Coach Zambrano at 229-221-8554 or Nick Jenkins at njenkins@rose.net.
