News Release: City of Tallahassee

The City of Tallahassee Parks, Recreation & Neighborhood Affairs Department knows the best way to stay warm this winter is to stay active! For adults, there are two great options planned for the winter months, and registration is currently open for both.

The annual Open Adult Flag Football Tournament begins Tuesday, Nov. 19. The team registration fee is $150. Teams may register at PRNA’s main office, located at 912 Myers Park Drive, through Friday, Nov. 15.

Tournament games will be held at the Messer South Sports Complex. Competition will involve upper and lower division brackets with first and second place team trophies awarded to the winners.

If you’re looking to get out of the weather and off the bench, then sign up for the Adult Winter Basketball League. PRNA is currently accepting team registration for the 8-week, 16-game season. Play begins the week of January 6, 2014, with games held in City recreation center gymnasiums.

The team registration fee is $521.75. Teams may register online at Talgov.com or in person at PRNA’s main office. Registration is open through December 27. A $10 late fee will be added to the team registration fee after December 20.

If you want to play but don’t have a team, just give PRNA your name and number, and they will put you on the list.
