Tallahassee Christmas Tree Recycling Locations

Tallahassee, FL - The City of Tallahassee says the easiest way for folks to recycle their Christmas trees is to place the tree at the curb on their scheduled garbage collection day.

For folks living in apartments, they can bring their trees to one of three drop-off locations located at:

San Luis Park - San Luis Road, south of West Tharpe Street

Tom Brown Park – across Easterwood Drive from the tennis courts

Myers Park – 907 Myers Park Drive

"The city always tries to keep materials out of the landfill and anyway we can, if we can beneficially reuse them, and that's exactly what we do with these Christmas trees. We grind them up into mulch and use them for Trail material in the parks," said Paul Hurst, recycle coordinator for the city's solid waste services.

Trees can be dropped off through January 6th, 2013.
