Tallahassee FL - Tallahassee's Community Redevelopment Agency has approved it's 2014 budget. The biggest change, will be how the CRA allocates its funds.
Money once designated to the land acquisition fund will now be committed to an investment fund. That fund will allow the agency to support specific programs and projects during the year as needed.
Leon County Commissioner Nick Maddox said, "The Tiff money that we give to the CRA has been allocated towards the things that the budget says it should be allocated for. It is a good day for us to go ahead and approve the budget and know what we are looking forward to in 2014."
Staffing changes will also happen within the CRA. It will become a stand-alone city department with four fully funded positions. That includes the implementation of an Executive Director position.
