This Saturday March 30th at 11am-3pm we will be hosting a community Easter Egg hunt for the Chaires community. We will have the Chaires Fire Department performing a fire safety prevention for the children. There will be free food, games, and gifts for the children and adults. There will also be a big egg hunt.

One of the most exciting annual events for Tallahassee children will takes place on Easter Sunday. The City’s Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Affairs Department (PRNA) will hold the 2013 Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday, March 31, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Myers Park, located at 913 Myers Park Drive.

Kids are invited to bring their parents, cameras, baskets and egg-hunting shoes for a fun-filled afternoon in the park. Children 10 and under are invited to participate in the Easter Egg Hunt and will be separated into age groups. These groups will be broken down as follows: 2 and under, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8 and 9-10 years old. Parents will only be allowed in the areas designated for the 4 and under groups.

Games, rides, arts and crafts and music will begin at 1 p.m. a photo opportunity with the Easter Bunny will take place until 2:15pm. The hunt will begin promptly at 2:30 p.m. Admission is free! Parking is available at Myers Park and at the Recreation administrative offices. Please call PRNA at 891-3866 for more information.

Description: For children birth through 5th grade. Come bake, create, and play during our Easter workshop! Children will rotate in small groups through three interactive stations to learn Holy Week and the resurrection of Christ. There will be a special workshop for 2-year-olds and nursery for those younger than 2 during the stations. The grand finale to the morning will be an Easter Egg Hunt. Please bring a dozen filled Easter eggs for each child to share. During the stations there will be a fellowship time for parents in addition to adults hiding eggs for the children.
