Tallahassee, FL - First responders with the Tallahassee Fire and Police Departments, Leon County Sheriff's Office and Leon County EMS came together Wednesday morning to hold a memorial ceremony at fire station 1 at 8:30.

They paid tribute to those lost and honored those who served.

Tallahassee Interim Fire Chief Wes Roberts says, "It gives us an opportunity to focus on how the country united after this attack. Our community should be very proud with our sheriff's office, our police department, our EMS agency and the fire department. We are partnered and we're committed to provide the highest level of service."

A steel beam from the world trade center, as well as the names of those who died were on display.
