The Tallahassee Memorial Recovery Center announces the opening of its new Outpatient Center. The Outpatient Recovery Center recently began offering group and individual counseling for substance abuse.
According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, an estimated 22 million Americans suffer from substance abuse or dependence. Since 2009, the Tallahassee Memorial Recovery Center has been providing treatment for the dependence and/or abuse of over-the-counter medication, illicit drugs, prescription drugs and alcohol.
Patients at the Outpatient Recovery Center will be under the care of Clinical Director Jeffery Ferraro, MD, board certified in addiction medicine. The Outpatient Recovery Center’s team includes certified addiction specialists, a licensed psychologist, licensed mental health counselors, and chronic pain specialist and addictionologist, Joseph Pagano, MD.
“The new Tallahassee Memorial Outpatient Recovery Center is continuing the spectrum of care for individuals with addictions, offering specialized suboxone treatment for patients with opiate (pain medication) addictions,” says Clinical Director Jeffery Ferraro, MD. “Other services offered include individual and group counseling, Intensive Outpatient Group, Outpatient Group and Dialectic Behavioral Therapy. Extensive psychological assessments are available as well. The focus of this clinic is to continue providing the highest quality treatment for patients who are suffering from addictions, as well as providing information about addictions to family members.”
