A poll conducted by the Georgia Credit Union Affiliates shows that Georgia consumers are 'hesitant to spend more', and in many cases will spend less money this holiday season compared to previous ones.

Thomasville residents say, though they know the economy is still struggling, the poll results surprised them.

Residents say the rising cost of fuel and food is forcing them to readjust their spending habits.

Area store owners say they expect sales to be about the same as last year's, and many say they will be holding special pre-Christmas promotions to help draw more shoppers.
