Thomas County to Participate in Great American Cleanup

Thomasville, GA -- April 11, 2012 --

Thomas County will be participating in a nationwide 'Go Green' initiative April 13th and 14th.

For the third year in a row, Keep Thomas County Beautiful will be participating in the Great American Clean Up event. The goal is to get people in their communities active in making sure where they live is kept up and not littered with trash.

"We're focusing on the gateways in and out of Thomas County so we'll be on 84, 19, 319, as we're coming in and going out of our city so that we can set an example for the visitors coming in," said Keep Thomas County Beautiful Executive Director Pam Lister.

Over 200 volunteers have already signed up to get out there and get their hands dirty this year. More volutnteers are welcome to join the effort Saturday morning. If you would like to participate, you can to to ktcb.org for more information.
