The center, which will now be known as the Thomasville Center for the Arts, has undergone a facelift with new exhibits and new decor.

Staff at the Center say they are excited about the changes because they bring a feeling of renewed life to the building.

Says consulting director Michele Arwood, "We've worked a lot on enhancing the visitor experience, so when you come in you feel like you're in an art center ... and hopefully you'll hear it, and you'll feel it, and you'll see it, and ... it will be a wonderful place to be."

Staff say the Center will now feature more art classes, exhibits, and events than before.

They say the new art season will kick off February 4th with south Georgia artist Steve Penley.
