Residents and visitors alike enjoyed viewing a wide variety of flowers, artistic arrangements, and even table decor submitted by garden club members for judging.
The show, which is held one month before the city's popular Rose Show, highlights springtime blooms grown by area horticulture enthusiasts.
Says Garden Club member Kathleen Kelly, "It's exciting because you get to see floral arrangements and flowers you wouldn't normally see, it's wonderful to see what's growing in people's yards."
This year's Flower Show is dedicated to Thomasville native Kate Ireland who died in February after a long life of giving back in south Georgia.
Show coordinators say they feel the tribute is a fitting one because Ireland received an honorary Garden Club membership at last year's show 2010.
