Press Release: Leon County Sheriff's Office
The Leon County Sheriff’s Office is co-hosting a multi agency Tip-a-Cop event to benefit Special Olympics Florida. On Thursday, November 21, 2013, members of LCSO will be joined by members from the Tallahassee Police Department, the Florida Highway Patrol and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement to wait tables and serve the patrons at Longhorn Steakhouse, which is located at 2400 North Monroe Street.
The law enforcement officers will be providing a brief statement about their purpose and soliciting “tips”. All proceeds collected during the event will be donated to Special Olympics Florida and half of everything raised remains in Leon County to benefit the Leon County Special Olympics. Special Olympians do not pay for anything, including their lodging and meals.
