Festive Mood At Local Obama Speech Viewing Party

Tallahassee, Florida- September 6, 2012

Supporters of president Barack Obama held a 'watch party' Thursday night at a local club.

Members of the Leon County Democratic Party hosted "Charlotte in Tallahassee", a Democratic National Convention watch party at the Moon.

About two hundred people watched the president accept his party's nomination.

The president is in a tight reelection campaign against Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney.

And it's the economy that remains an important issue for many voters this election cycle.

"The economy I think is the big issue for him to get reelected. He's got to come out with a great plan and hopefully it will work if all the parties can come together," says Colleen Washington, a supporter of president Obama.

"It would be really great if there was a sustainable plan so that we are investing in our local businesses, our children and our public health as well," says Martha Lang, who attended the watch party.

The general election is November 6.
