It was a wild scene at Tallahassee Mall's AMC 20 Theatre around seven Thursday evening. That's because July 15th marked the beginning of the end for the Happy Potter movies.
Hundreds of people lined the hallways trying to get a coveted seat for the 8th and final installment, which opened at midnight.
Theater employees say they sold more than 3,000 tickets - that was five hours before the movie's premier.
"When I was really, really little, my brother would read it to me, and then when I got older I read the series again, and by that point I was old enough to go to the movies so I've been to almost like every premier," said Harry Potter fan, Laura Ippolito.
Employees say they will show the movie in 16 of their 20 theaters at midnight. It will run again at 3:15 Friday morning. They've sold nearly 1,000 tickets for that viewing.
