Leon County Sheriff's Office Kicks Off Coats4Kids

Leon County School Resource Deputies and volunteers were at Gilchrest Elementary School Saturday for the Sheriff's Office second annual coats for kids drive.

The Sheriff's office says it has already collected over five hundred coats this year. Each of those coats are donated to needy students throughout Leon County.

"It's wonderful. The community's coming together. We're getting a lot of responses, a lot of emails, a lot of donations," says Jessica Ikner School Resource Officer.

The Sheriff's office says it is still in need of donations of used or slightly used winter coats and pants.
