Families from Thomasville to Monticello packed the Painted Pony farm Sunday 10-23 for Painted Pony's Fun Day, Sunday.
From boiled peanuts to hayrides, there's something for everyone at Painted Pony Fun Day Sunday.
"Pet the horses, go for rides and check out some really healthy active life styles," says Cathy Schroeder
Others like Jerome Novey look forward to...
"Have some fun. Ride the ponies. Eat boiled peanuts," says Novey
It's an event that Painted Pony owner Sherry McCord started two and a half years ago to give people a chance to experience all the Painted Pony has to offer.
"To allow people who maybe haven't been invited to a pony party or maybe haven't been able to come with a school group on a field trip and have the fun that we have out here," says McCord.
But it's more than just a day for families. This year's Painted event brought in vendors like Bryant Harvard of KBH Farms, helping him reach a whole new customer base.
"We hope to get some newer customers and some older ones out here today," says Harvard.
And Clay Fulford of Fulford Family Farms says it's a great way to brand their farm which has been around for over one hundred years.
"It's really helps get our name out there," says Fulford
McCord says she hopes to have another Painted Pony Fun Day Sunday in the spring
