Members of the African Student Association were out today (3-17-12) raising money for 'Kicks for Africa' and try to dispel stereotypes people may have about Africa.

Members were looking to raise awareness about Africa and what life is really like there as well as collect money for Kicks for Africa

"We're just trying to tweak people's mind or just turn people's mind around and really showing them how Africa really is. So we are just representing our continent to everybody at Florida State University," says Linda Tandoh, an FSU Student.

Tandoh says there are a lot of misconceptions about how people live in Africa and what life is really like there. She says the African Student Association is putting on a presentation next month to raise awareness.

I think we should raise money for The Future Of White People. Because from what I keep seeing if we don't we are going to be pushed aside more than we already are. Whites are not the ones causing hate and discontent, it's the blacks that keep think they deserve more and more. We are equal start acting like it.

First , I have to admit I find it funny ...alot of folks here scream about how BAD we are and How Great Africa is. True enough , some parts arent so bad , and there are good people in every part of the World. However in two thirds of that Region ...average Black folk from here wouldnt last two days. The African does not like the "Saggy Pants" mentality ...he gets up before dawn to work. They do not refer to women as "B" 's , in fact that will get you hurt. In half of those Countries , there is and has been no stable Govt. for Years..they are comprised of several Tribes and Fiefdoms which constantly fight , thats what they know. As best put " The Officials want to steal enough to go somewhere else .. the Rebels claim to want it , but have no Idea what to do when they have they become Dictators , And the Rest of the World is stuck with the mess." T.I.A Well at least they are managing the Wildlife is tourism. Ps. The Only long term stable Govt in the History of Africa ....
