Local residents and breast cancer survivors put on their pink for the "Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk" Sunday.
Over six thousand people turned out for the 5-k walk which raises money to help fight breast cancer.
"It is amazing. The compassion of the community and that fact that everyone is celebrating breast cancer survivors and acknowledging those who didn't survive," says Gabrielle Gabrelli.
Last year's event raised over $150,000. Organizers say they hope to raise at least that much this year.
