Nims Middle School went into what's called a "partial lockdown" for about an hour Friday... meaning teachers were able to conduct class, but access to campus was limited.
The reason for the lockdown?
Leon County Sheriff deputies were searching for 30-year-old Michael J. Frazier..
Deputies say they pulled him over because they suspected him of being involved in a "hit and run."
But deputies say when they tried to arrest Frazier, he resisted...and hit the deputy.
Deputies say along with being a suspect in that hit and run, Frazier now faces charges of Battery on a law enforcement officer, and resisting arrest.
As of Friday at 6pm, authorities are still searching for Frazier.
Deputies say he was driving on a suspended license... they say that and the suspected hit and run are their only guess as to why he would have tried to leave.
If you have any information you are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 574- TIPS.
