2 Year Colleges Outpace 4 Year Colleges in Enrollment

Tallahassee, FL - According to the Southern Regional Education Board, in 1970, enrollment in public 2 year colleges was 37% compared to enrollment in public 4 year colleges and universities.

Now, 2 year college enrollment has outpaced their 4 year counterparts in terms of enrollment.

By 2010, 2 year colleges enrolled nearly as many students as a regular 4 year university.
