Valdosta City Schools Press Release:

Valdosta Middle School attended the MathCounts competition at Mathis City Auditorium on Friday, February 26th. We are very pleased to announce that the VMS team placed 2nd in team competition against surrounding schools.

Our team members were Ty Haynes, Daniel Tefft, Zachary Goddard, and Aneesha Chowdhary. We would also like to congratulate Ty Haynes, Daniel Tefft, and Zachary Goddard for placing in the top 10 in the individual test and special congratulations goes to Daniel Tefft for placing 3rd in the Count Down Round. Ty and Zachary will be representing Valdosta Middle School in the State MathCounts competition on March 26th.

Also in attendance as Math Team participants at the competition were Luke Justice, Bobby Gupta, Eileen Chen, and Zerrick Henderson. These students competed in the individual testing portion of the competition. As a practice team, the following students participated for the experience: Parker Campiglia, Amara Williams, Kenda Blair, and Nasier Vazquez.
