Press Release: Brooks County Schools

QUITMAN – Pre K Registration for both Quitman Elementary and North Brooks Elementary have been set. North Brooks Elementary (NBES) registration will be March 27th from 8 am to 6pm at the school. Quitman Elementary registration will be March 28, 2013 from 8 am to 6pm at the Brooks County Board of Education. Parents or legal guardians only will be able to register children. Pre-K children must be four (4) years old on or before September 1 to be registered.

Parents may come to the Brooks County Board of Education and pick up a folder in advance to begin the registration process (which will not guarantee a spot). Parents and guardians will have to attend registration on the dates set by each school and it is on a First Come, First Serve basis.

Documents needed are: 1.) Proof of residence (documents must have parents or legal guardians name listed- utility bill, mortgage, lease or rental agreement); 2.) Birth certificate; 3.) Social security card or waiver; 4.) Eye, Ear & Dental Certificate (form 3300) and 5.) Immunization (form 3231). Acceptance in the Pre K program is based on first come, first serve. Enrollment for Pre-L is OPEN and NON-DISCRIMINATORY. It is not necessary to bring your child to registration.
