Edan Schultz has nearly two decades of experience as a broadcast journalist.

He comes to WCTV after 19 years covering the news in Southern Illinois as a reporter, producer, anchor and manager.

In an award-winning career, Edan reported on stories of all scope impacting that region, and rose to become evening anchor and managing editor at WSIL-TV, leading the news team in coverage of major events from political scandal to natural disaster.

Some of his most memorable stories include a behind the scenes look at National Guard soldiers training before their deployment to Iraq, assessing the aftermath of hurricane Katrina along the Gulf Coast with local volunteers, and traveling with World War II veterans on an Honor Flight to Washington, DC.

When he’s not covering the news, Edan spends time relaxing with his wife Brooke and their three “children,” dogs Flurry, Frosty and Fiona. They’re excited about getting to know the many friendly people in the community, enjoying the warm weather, and exploring the natural and cultural attractions in the Tallahassee area.
