Brittany Bedi joined the WCTV news team in August 2015 as the weekend meteorologist and multimedia journalist.

A native of Tampa, Florida, Brittany grew up experiencing heat, humidity, hurricanes, and thunderstorms. She had an early interest in earth sciences and aspired to be a meteorologist.

Brittany attended the Florida State University and graduated in August 2013. During her time in college, she was part of the Women in Math, Science and Engineering program at FSU and worked as a mentor for it. Her television experience began as a student meteorologist for the student-produced show, FSU Weather. She worked as a team leader for the show during her senior year. Brittany spent the summer of 2013 forecasting weather at a television station in Tallahassee. She returned to Florida after working as a meteorologist and multimedia journalist at KALB in Alexandria, Louisiana.

When she’s not forecasting weather, she enjoys listening to music, shopping, and cheering on the Florida State Seminoles and Tampa Bay Lightning.

Brittany is happy to return to her home state and looks forward to providing weather coverage to North Florida and South Georgia. If you have any weather questions, story ideas, or just want to say "hi", email her at brittany.bedi@wctv.tv.
