Mariel Carbone joined the Eyewitness News team as a multimedia journalist and city correspondent in June 2016.
This is her first time living in the Sunshine State, after working as a print and video reporter for Calkins Media in Pennsylvania and New Jersey for two years. There, Mariel was a member of the enterprise and investigative team, as well as the host of the weekly entertainment segment “To Do.”
Mariel graduated from Hofstra University in 2014 with a dual bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism and political science. During her time there she was a member of the university’s radio station, WRHU, a member of the nationally ranked cheerleading program and completed internships with Fox News and CBS This Morning.
Mariel is excited to be here in Tallahassee! If you have any story ideas, or just want to say hello, you can email her at Mariel.Carbone@wctv.tv
