3 minors escape injury during rollover crash in Wakulla County

WAKULLA CO., Fla. (WCTV) -- Three teenage boys were not injured when the car they were traveling in drove off of the roadway and began to overturn.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 5:06 a.m. Tuesday on US-98 just west of Tarpine Drive.

The crash report states that the 16-year-old driver was traveling west on US-98 when he reportedly fell asleep. The car traveled onto the south shoulder and struck a road sign before overturning onto the passenger side.

The driver, a 16-year-old passenger and a 17-year-old passenger were not injured in the crash.

FHP says the driver has been charged with careless driving and a violation of driver license restrictions.
