PERRY, Fla. (WCTV) -- The Perry Police Department has confirmed new details surrounding a weekend shooting in Perry.
Perry Police Chief James Curse has confirmed to WCTV that one person has died due to injuries they sustained in the shooting. Chief Curse identified the victim as Corey Thomas.
Curse said a second victim was treated and has been released from the hospital.
PPD says the investigation is continuing and it could take some time to come to a conclusion. No arrests have been made.
Officials say there is no public safety concern, as the shooting is believed to be a domestic incident.

PERRY, Fla. (WCTV) -- The Perry Police Department is investigating a shooting that sent two people to the hospital on Friday morning.
Officials say the shooting happened just before 7:00 a.m. inside of a home at 103 Grove Avenue in Perry.
Perry Police Chief Jamie Cruse says the shooting is being investigated as an act of domestic violence.
Two people suffered gunshot wounds and one of them was airlifted from the scene by LifeFlight.
Both gunshot victims are being treated at local hospitals. The extent of their injuries is not available.
FDLE Crime Lab technicians were called in to collect evidence and process the scene.
No arrests have been made but police say all individuals involved have been identified and are currently either being interviewed or treated for their injuries.
