Leon County stabbing victim identified

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- The Leon County Sheriff's Office has identified the man stabbed at his home Thursday as 27-year-old Joseph Jackson.

LCSO says deputies arrived on scene at 11:44 a.m. and first responders tried unsuccessfully to revive Jackson. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

LCSO is asking anyone with information to call CrimeStoppers at
850-574-TIPS.

LCSO is not yet commenting on a possible motive or suspect in the case.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- One person is dead following a stabbing at a mobile home on Matthew Carter Court Thursday morning.

Crime tape surrounded the mobile home, and deputies, detectives and forensic teams continued to swarm the property into the afternoon.

The Leon County Sheriff's Office is not releasing the victim's identity yet.

Neighbors tell us a man lives there with his young son.

"I was surprised to be truthful with you because I was out shopping and I turn in here to see all these deputies here," neighbor Shaddie Gaines said. "It definitely upset me."

LCSO is not commenting on a possible motive or who discovered the body.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- The Leon County Sheriff's Office is investigating a deadly stabbing.

The incident happened Thursday morning at a mobile home on Matthew Carter Court, on the northwest side of Tallahassee.

LCSO deputies, EMS and forensics units responded to the scene and a death investigation was launched.

Officials have not yet identified the victim.
