Chiles teacher placed on administrative leave following allegations

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- A Chiles High School teacher is on administrative leave following allegations of inappropriate conduct with a student.

According to Leon County spokesman Chris Petley, Chiles teacher Clifford Sherry has been placed on administrative leave during a review of the allegations.

Sherry is a social studies and history teacher, according to the Chiles website, and has been at the school since 2005. According to his school biography, he taught at Raa Middle School prior to Chiles.

His bio also says he sponsors student travel to Europe and the Caribbean.

Leon County Schools says Sherry was placed on administrative leave on Tuesday, March 21, and they will not make any further comment on the matter until the completion of an investigation.
