LEON CO., Fla. (WCTV) -- The westbound lanes of Interstate 10 in Leon County were closed for several hours Sunday after two semi-trucks collided and overturned.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 5:45 a.m. on I-10 westbound near mile marker 197.

The crash report states that 45-year-old Delmiro Velazco Llamas rear ended another semi-truck driven by 25-year-old Aroldo Castillo Rodrigues. Following the collision, both semi-trucks overturned, blocking all three westbound lanes of Interstate 10.

FHP says traffic was rerouted as crews worked to remove the vehicles and debris. The roadway was reopened around 1:00 p.m.

Rodrigues was transported to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital in critical condition. Llamas and a passenger in the vehicle suffered minor injuries.
