TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- Seminoles are sending Garnet and Gold into the heart of Houston.

The FSU Alumni Association is collecting toiletries, clothes and other items to send to victims of Hurricane Harvey.

There are plenty of FSU t-shirts, sweatshirts and even game blankets in the mix. FSU athletes sent bags full of donations including boxes of Nike shoes.

"We quickly just said 'Hey let's donate some stuff' and within the last two days everything that everyone's brought has been amazing," Kathryn Phillips said, "and I'm sure someone will get some use out of it which is awesome."

FSU gear, clothes, toiletries or non-perishable foods, can be dropped off at the FSU Alumni Center at 1030 West Tennessee Street in Tallahassee.

The alumni association says an 18 wheeler will be here Tuesday to pick it all up and bring it to the Seminole Club of Houston to share.

There are about 1500 FSU grads in the Houston area.
