VALDOSTA, Ga. (WCTV) -- The State School Superintendent is making stops across classrooms in South Georgia.
Richard Woods made his first stop Thursday at Pine Grove Middle School for a STEM presentation. Later in the day, he visited the current Valdosta High School and their new campus on Inner Perimeter Road.
Woods says he’s checking in with local schools and listening to any needs where he can be of service.
"Kids have a wonderful opportunity. They're getting some great education in some courses that begin to prepare them not only for a great graduation, but also for life,” says Woods.
The State Superintendent will continue his visits on Friday with schools in Clinch and Lanier Counties.
Woods says he‘s taking notes and plans to share his experience with state officials in Atlanta.
