LILBURN, Ga. (AP) -- A teacher and former University of Georgia football player has been indicted after admitting to a sexual relationship with a student.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Thursday that Michael Henderson was indicted on three counts of sexual assault and one count of child molestation following his initial arrest on May 19.
Henderson told police he had a two-year relationship with a female student in his geometry class at Parkview High School, beginning when she was 16.
The indictment says the student performed a sex act on Henderson on school grounds multiple times, and Henderson asked her to send him explicit photos.
He was released on bond in June after multiple teachers and coaches offered to serve as character witnesses. It's unclear if he has a lawyer.
