VALDOSTA, Ga. (WCTV) -- The Goodwill Career Center in Valdosta is celebrating National Hispanic Heritage Month.

They say the Latino population is increasing in the region, and they are hosting events all week to serve their diverse needs.

On Monday, they kicked off Hispanic Week with a diversity job fair.

New Hire Solutions and Convergys focused on hiring for bilingual positions.

"We want the community to be educated about the opportunities as far as our Latino and Hispanic community and what they have to offer," says Keyara Hamilton, with Valdosta's Goodwill Career Center. "They work in our communities, they live in our communities, and these same individuals spend their money in our communities."

All of the resources at their career center are free of charge.

They say it's funded through purchases at their retail store.

Tomorrow they will continue with a Resource Fair starting at 10 a.m. at 1000 N. St. Augustine Road.
