JASPER, Fla. (WCTV) -- Added security will be on hand on the Hamilton County High School campus Wednesday after a possible threat was posted to social media.

Facebook user Simba Lawson posted a status to their account Tuesday saying, "I'm about to shoot up hamilton high school."

School administrators were notified of the threat and contacted the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

According to a Facebook post by Hamilton County High School, investigators determined the threat was coming out of Tennessee and was made towards Hamilton High School in Memphis.

School officials say there is no credible threat to Hamilton County High School in Jasper, Florida.

The school says all necessary precautions for student safety are being followed, and additional sheriff's deputies will be on campus Wednesday.
