TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- The Leon County Sheriff's Office has identified the inmate found dead at the Leon County Jail on Monday morning.
LCSO Lieutenant Grady Jordan says a correctional officer found the inmate deceased in her cell just after 10 a.m.
Correctional officers secured the scene and notified the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, which is standard protocol.
The inmate, identified as 36-year-old Jennifer Norred, had been in jail for 40 days on aggravated stalking charges.
Officials say foul play does not appear to be involved.
The investigation has been turned over to FDLE.
