LEON COUNTY, Fla. (WCTV) -- Hurricane Irma has come and gone, leaving behind destruction, power outages, and a long road back to normalcy.

For evacuees returning to Florida, the first step to recovering is getting back home, which could take a while.

I-75 has been packed with residents trying to get back to see what Irma did to their homes, as well as extra vehicles such as power crews and emergency vehicles headed south to assist.

Rest stops have been busy and drivers cruising well below speed limit.
