TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- The Leon County Sheriff's Office says a man wanted on several outstanding warrants has been arrested and is now facing drug trafficking charges.

28-year-old Loren Gene Sharp was taken into custody Thursday after being featured on WCTV's 'Wanted Wednesday' segment.

LCSO says Sergeant Chris Poole, who leads the department's SPIDER unit, spotted Sharp riding in the passenger seat of a vehicle on Thursday and conducted a traffic stop.

Deputies say the driver of the vehicle, 39-year-old Mary Forehand, gave them another person's drivers license, but deputies immediately realized the photo was not her. She later provided deputies with her real name and it was discovered that Forehand had a suspended license.

Sharp was arrested on his outstanding warrants for violation of parole on a charge of aggravated battery on a pregnant victim, possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, and tampering with evidence.

During his arrest, deputies say Sharp was carrying a backpack which was found to contain almost 7 grams of heroin, over 19 grams of methamphetamine, a firearm, and some cash.

Sharp was additionally charged with trafficking heroin, trafficking methamphetamine, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Sharp remains in the Leon County Detention Facility.

Forehand was charged with driving with a suspended license with one prior conviction, providing false information to law enforcement, and fraud for attempting to use the ID of another person. Forehand is free on bond.
