LAKE CITY, Fla. (WCTV) -- The Florida Highway Patrol says a man has been arrested on vehicular homicide charges for a deadly hit-and-run crash on Black Friday.
Just after 10:30 a.m. on November 24, FHP troopers responded to the scene of a crash involving a vehicle and a bicyclist along U.S. 90 near Cole Terrace in Lake City.
The bicyclist, 63-year-old Conrad Lotts, died from his injuries.
The driver of the vehicle fled the scene.
Traffic Homicide Investigators began an investigation and spoke with witnesses at the scene. The driver was later identified as 24-year-old Austin Bielinski, of Fort White.
On February 6, warrants were signed for Bielinski's arrest on vehicular homicide charges.
Bielinski was taken into custody on Wednesday. He is being held in the Columbia County Jail on $75,000 bond.
