New school resource officers hired in Madison County

MADISON COUNTY, Fla. (WCTV) -- The Madison County Sheriff's Office took to Facebook Thursday to introduce three new school resource officers who will be placed throughout the district.

According to the Facebook post, Sgt. Brad Johnson has been assigned to Pinetta Elementary School, Deputy Greg Ray will be placed at Greenville Elementary School and Deputy Terry Bishop will report to Lee Elementary School.

The three new SROs will join Deputy Joey Knight, who will return to Madison County Central School, and Sgt. Maurice Alexander, who works at Madison County High School.

The officers will serve during the 2018-2019 school year. Classes begin on Monday, August 13.
