ALACHUA COUNTY, Fla. (WCTV) -- The Florida Highway Patrol has reported a deadly accident which involved four cars and killed one person.
FHP says all four vehicles were traveling north on state road 93 when three of the cars either began to or already were stopped due to traffic reasons.
Troopers say one of the cars did not slow down or stop, and struck the rear of two cars, which in turn caused one car to move forward until it hit a fourth car.
The driver of one of the cars hit initially, 52-year-old Lisa Davis, died in the crash.
FHP says a subsequent homicide investigation followed the accident, and required northbound traffic to be diverted off the interstate at SR 222 for about four hours.
