TALLAHASSEE, Fla (WCTV) -- During a tragedy like the events in Parkland, school administrators are also looking out for their students safety. Even ones who aren't professionals. Attorney Jon Moyle Jr. acted as Principal for a day at Cobb Middle School in Tallahassee.
He shadowed actual Principal Tonja Fitzgerald attending classes. Moyle also got a chance to see the responsibility it takes to manage more than 870 students at a school.
"All the kids all the teachers, there's a flu epidemic going around so teachers are sick and you're having to fill classrooms so it just made me understand better all of the responsibilities that a principal has to educate kids," said Moyle.
Moyle also said the events in South Florida made him appreciate the school and staff even more.
