TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- The FAMU Rattlers will open their 2017 football season on a national stage.
The inaugural Jake Gaither Classic between the Rattlers and Texas Southern University Tigers will be broadcast on ESPNU on August 26. Kickoff has been moved up to noon to accommodate TV.
The Rattlers will appear nationally on three other occasions throughout the season. They'll play Arkansas on the SEC Network on August 31, will face off against North Carolina Central on September 28 and will be an a yet-to-be-determined ESPN channel on November 18 aganist Bethune-Cookman.
FAMU's four national TV games marks the most in school history.
