TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- With the announcement of Jimbo Fisher leaving Florida State to become the head football coach at Texas A&M, names have already emerged as leading candidates to fill Fisher's position.

Multiple outlets, including Yahoo Sports and Warchant, are reporting there are two top candidates for FSU's head coaching position.

Willie Taggart, current head coach at Oregon with previous stops at South Florida and Western Kentucky, is perceived to be the leading man for the job. A Bradenton native, Taggart just completed his first year with the Ducks, going 7-5.

Justin Fuente just finished his second season at Virginia Tech and was the head coach at Memphis from 2012-2015. The Hokies went 9-3 this year, including posting a 5-3 mark in the ACC, and finished in second place in the league's Coastal division behind Miami.
